Review: Premium Quality, Great Features - Note: On/Off valve - I recently purchased this hydration bladder for a camping and hiking trip to Big Bend. I washed and tested it out before the trip and was pretty impressed with the quality of the materials and parts. It also comes with a spare O-ring for the tube connection which is nice. There was no pervasive smell or anything other than the usual new "plastic" smell that was gone after washing. And importantly, no plastic or chemical taste at all - just pure H2O. It fit and worked great in my REI daypack, carries a good amount of water, was easy to fill on-the-go with the big fill hole, had no leaking at all over several days of camping/hiking, and the bite-valve worked perfectly. Stupidly, I didn't realize it had an On/Off valve and couldn't figure out why the water stopped flowing halfway through my first hike. Turns out I had accidentally pushed the valve in and shut off the flow. So I can attest that this feature works :) So yeah, 2 notes I would share: 1) the bite-valve pushes in/out to shut the flow off/on; 2) to empty the tube of water after washing or using, disconnect the tube, hold it upside down with the bite-valve at the bottom, and just squeezed the bite valve to release all the water. Overall, the quality and functionality of this hydration bladder is excellent and feels premium. Worked flawlessly (other than my own human error) on multiple hikes in hot and rugged conditions. When you factor in the low price (I paid $9.97), I would highly recommend this to anyone. PROS: - Premium quality and materials - No smell or taste (after initial washing) - Large hole for easy washing and filling - No leaking - Bite-valve w/ dust cover and On/Off valve - Extras: Spare O-ring - Extras: Included camouflage buff (this actually came in handy on full sun hikes to protect the back of my neck) CONS: - None that I experienced or can think of

1.Open the cover by counter-clockwise, and close it by clockwise.
2.Gently bite and pull the tip of the valve with front teeth and push back to stop water flow .
3.For the best results,please do not bit hard or chew on the valve. 
4.Please cover the valve when not in use. 
About your other question,our L 14.2'' x W 6.8'' Hydration bladder is compatible with most hydration packs. When they hydration bladder is empty, it can be folded .So it won’t occupy much room in your backpack. The tube (0.4” diameter, 40” long) provides a wholesome flow for easy drinking, keeping you hydrated when biking, cycling, hiking, or running! You will love this hydration bladder when you get it.

**Q: How do you recommend this being washed? I just received this today**
A: Hot water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda.

**Q: With such a big lid for filling, how are you to get the full 2 liter's in? Is it 2 liter's starting under filling lid?**
A: I found no way to successfully fill this bladder with 2 liters of water without a bunch of it spilling out when you screw down the cap. Another reviewer reported capacity at 1.6 liters.

**Q: Any way I can order a longer tube? I would like to use this while motorcycle riding**
A: I have not found a specific one but you could us aquarium tubing of the same diameter

Nice bladder. It's easy to fill and appears to be well built. I've used it twice now. The bite valve cover is kind of stupid, I cut it off immediately. The bite valve itself is good. The reason I bought this one is that it has two holes in the top so that it can be suspended in larger waterpacks, such as those used for hiking. My older Camelback bladder would slide down to the bottom of the pack and tug the hose, making it too short. My pack has two little tab - hooks to support the weight of the bladder.
