I found the colors on the skirt to be bright and summery. The material is what you might expect of polyester and spandex, somewhat like swimsuit material, but without being shinny. It is a little bit see-through but not to the point I would feel the need to wear a slip. I normally wear size 12-14 and the large is perfect (although the top in my pictures is on the tight side!). I almost sized up based on reviews, but I am glad I didn't. As for the length, I am 5'5" and it comes to about my ankles.
