Designed for people with hemiplegia to use instead of a regular arm sling. Protects and supports the hemiplegic arm during all aspects of functional mobility. Typically used for patients with motor, sensory and attention impairments. Increases awareness and management of the upper extremity and reduces the risk of injury during transfer and ambulation. Two-Piece design consists of a wrist support and a heavy-duty cotton belt (54" long). wrist support attaches to belt with hook & loop and detaches when not needed. Easy on and off. The exclusive purpose of the arm escort is to safely manage the extremity during transfers and ambulation. The arm escort does not manage subluxation of the shoulder. The arm escort is not recommended for use when the upper extremity has emerging movement and during therapeutic activity for neuromuscular re-education. Latex free.
