Review: A book of kindness and love - The first time I saw this book was in 1997. My then 2 year old daughter and I were really happy to meet Lisa, a young girl who loves her friend Corduroy. It was also nice to read a story with a person of color, someone to identify with. I read this (and another one from the "Corduroy" series) to all 3 of my girls. My daughters are grown now but once in awhile their bedtime stories pop up in conversation. They remember their bedtime stories and the coziness they felt as we read about Lisa's kindness and her love for Corduroy. The winter months we endured many snowstorms and did a lot of reading during the day. Spring/summer weather brought on days of strong winds with rain accompanied by thunder and lightening. This book was always on the top of their reading list day or night.
