I considered a bed rail on one side of my bed to get out then nixxed the idea-because I wanted to continue to train my body/muscles to sit up. Which was something I was re-learning after hip surgery. It was a matter of use it or lose it. I wanted to relearn sitting up straight from a laying down position vs rolling on my side and grabbing a bar. I wanted to continue maintaining my arm & abdominal strength. This ladder- 1.Allows me to strengthen and use abdominal and other muscles to PULL myself up into a sitting position. ( Without leaning & depending on a fixed metal bedrail). 2. The bottom strap anchors around bottom of bed frame, positioning you in the middle of the bed. Thus, you’ve got something to grab onto to help you roll over- which keeps you from only sleeping on one side of the bed / only sleeping on one side of your body. 3. The ladder consists of nylon straps and the handles are sturdy plastic covered by a cushion like rubber- so the palms of your hands are well protected and provide a good grip. 4. Because of the nylon strap design you don’t notice it in bed. 5. The ladder design allows you to grab each “ step” until you are upright. It’s like a mini- physical therapy session- building strength as you go.

It works very well strapped to the side of the bed. I use it as an aide to help me roll over and re adjust. Great product and well made.

Very simple and useful device. Easy to attach to to the bed and it stays put. My elderly parent, who has major problem sitting up and getting out of bed can use it with no problems. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the space between the grab bars can be a bit too long for a small-framed and weak person as my parent is, but it can be easily fixed by sewing the straps between the grab bars to make the space a bit shorter. Product arrived very fast and pricing is just fine.

This works! Helps my 300lb, 6'2 husband get in and out of his (hospital)) bed. We have one attached to the side of his bed (across the mattress) to help pull him out of his chair that is next to it which faces the side of the bed. The strap has double stitching and comfortable to grasp too. Highly recommend this product!

A must-have after spine surgery! I placed one of these ladders on each side of my bed and they were the reason I was able to turn onto my sides after spinal surgery, when the spine must be kept straight for several weeks. I would've been flat on my back the whole time without them! I highly recommend getting a couple of these if you're having spine surgery.

This is very convenient for helping sitting up and getting out of bed. It attached to the bottom of the bed frame at the foot of the bed and then stretches up to be used. No tools required. I'm a heavy - set person and it holds fine. The ladder part is covered with foam where you grab it. I was struggling to get out of bed and this is great.

Very helpful gadget. I struggle to get out of bed in the morning due to a sore back/ hip. This doesn’t take the pain away but it does help, with some exertion, to help you sit up ready to swing your legs out ready to stand.

This ladder was invaluable for getting out of bed after rotator cuff surgery.

Un artículo muy funcional, le ayudó a mi familiar a poder incorporarse y sentarse después de estar acostado 20 días postoperado. Muy sencillo pero de gran utilidad, me gusta que tenga una cinta larga para poder ajustarle la distancia, fácilisimo de instalar.

This product is wonderful. I have difficulty sitting up in bed and was able to attach this device securely to the end of the bed and then use the "ladder" to pull myself up hand over hand. Very strongly made, yet the handles are soft so you can keep it beside you as you sleep.
