**Q: Can this be used also as a steamer? So it's not just a unitasker. It says it takes up to 230ºC, and it's silicone, so it should?**
A: Hello, it is made of silicone, but it is not recommended as a steamer.

**Q: Can this also be used to steam veg?**
A: I don’t think so. I think the plastic parts would melt.

**Q: can you strain rice?**
A: Yes I’ve used it to strain rice - no problem. AND so much easier to clean.

**Q: Can these be used in digital pressure cookers ?**
A: Sorry, it can't.

Great product that fold down flat for easy storage. Dishwasher safe. The two sizes are great depending on what is being strained.

Update: after several months of use we can see that the silicone is starting to change color from blue to green (last photo), and we are not sure if that is safe for it to do.It is excellent for draining pasta, washing vegetables, and other colander related tasks, but do mind that uncooked rice can pass through the holes. The most useful thing about this product is the ability to fold it so it doesn't take up much space in your cupboard. It has a few minor defects but these do not affect product usability.
