I can't seem to get the right angle to allow the door to close. thanks!** A: I'm having trouble fitting them for drop down door also. The door comes down about 90 % from opening to open position. But the piston hinge is difficult to figure out the position. I think I fully extend it first, then position the door at the desired maximum opening angle (my case about 90 degrees). Then match the fully extended piston hinge into the position with as much vertical position possible because you will need the piston to contract and move into complete vertical position as the door closes. Is that about right? **Q: Would these work on a pull down spice shelf from under an upper cabinet?** A: I doubt it. Their primary purpose is to hold a lid up, not hold it closed.
