Wouldn't it be fine just uncovered in a regular bag?** A: Fundamentally this device would be fine in a bag uncovered. I personally got the case due to the wheel lock function. I would be concerned that this mechanism would become damaged. In addition I get bothered by cosmetic blemishes on my devices. They pick these blemishes up rapidly uncovered and in a bag. Finally I find it useful for the USB dongle. It gives me a place to put it even though I really don’t need to use it that often. **Q: Does the case have a spot for the usb dongle that comes with the mouse?** A: No it does not, there is space in front of the thumb area but not a holder. **Q: will this actually fit an MX 3 don't see one pictured in any of the reviews?** A: No it will not.
