It is well made with a nice design, and an excellent mechanism for easily inserting and removing the lid. I originally purchased this server for use at the office. I'm kind of a coffee purist - I roast my own coffee and don't grind the beans until I'm ready to brew a cup of coffee using a portable, manual coffee grinder. I use a pour-over device with paper filters that must sit on the rim of cup or other vessel you're using. My daily use cup is just too wide at the rim and the pour-over cone was too precariously balanced, and actually fell over a time or two. Yeah. Mess. This server totally suited my needs. The mouth is the ideal size and shape for the pour-over cone, and the vessel itself has all the capacity I needed for my 16-ounce cups of coffee. It will comfortably hold 2.5 cups of liquid (20 fluid ounces, or 600 ml). I especially appreciated the lid design; the silicone rim snugly holds the lid to the server mouth, and it controls the pour very nicely, preventing most accidental spills. But it is glass, and uninsulated, so hot liquids will immediately begin to cool, or cold liquids will immediately begin to warm. So ideally it's meant for whatever you put into it to be served immediately. It's been ideal for my use - brewing single oversized cups of coffee. Review: Buy the original!
