I received a new one from Amazon and quickly my lips became very dry. So I applied more. My lips flaked, then cracked and bled. I was horrified, and realised the more I used the EOS balm the worse my lips were; that they must have changed the ingredients or it was counterfeit. I discontinued it and looked for something to repair my painful lips.I came across this Balmonds Balm and ordered on the basis of the reviews. What can I say? Its fantastic. Within 36hrs of starting to use it there was significant improvement in my lips, the open splits had healed and my lips were becoming softer. After 4 days, there was minimal scarring and my lips were hydrated. They are now in the best condition they have ever been and I use just morning and night, with a bit of lippy in the day.I don't have time to write reviews but I wanted to let people know what a life changer this product has been for me. It is worth every penny. I’ve tried everything under the sun for my allergy prone lips so wasn’t expecting much. I knew within a few minutes of applying it that I was onto a winner. The only other balm I can use is Lucas PawPaw Ointment which I order direct from Australia. It hadn’t been working very well lately, making my lips dry with allergy flair ups. Now I’ve been putting Balmonds on then sometimes Lucas PawPaw on top to add shine. This works fine. Some days I’ve only needed to apply Balmonds a few times which is unheard of for me! I’d say that if you don’t have ‘problem’ lips then this probably isn’t for you as it’s unscented and fairly matt. I’ve been using it for over a week and it’s like my lips are normal again, no redness, itching, stinging, tiny bumps, weeping, peeling! It has great staying power, and stops my lips from peeling, even in winter with the central heating on full blast.The texture is really great, a good balance between thick enough to last, and thin enough to apply easily. The balm goes on clear. There is no particular flavour, and it doesn't have the stale oil taste that similar lip balms sometimes have, so that's a plus.
