Although for spacing, you are not supposed to use all 12 spots at once. I used it for spices and trimmed them every few days. I like the app that tells you exactly what to do and how to grow a successful garden. Review: WATERING FEATURE = WATER DAMAGE - It's confusing to navigate initial setup. I feel the systems downfall is most likely the directions & confusing layout more than operation. I had to Google a lot of what was crucial to setup. We'll see. It's up & running. Update: 1 tomato plant shows signs of life. Getting the lighting on a reasonable schedule is a pain. Instructions don't tell you to start in the morning for best timing. The nutrient Instructions are confusing, too. Not sure if I killed most plants pr they're just deep inside the sponges. So far I think I killed them. I want to love this thing.
