Delivered as bare metal for custom finishes, it’s a durable, trail-ready upgrade that enhances both style and function. ## Description Factory JK or JKU tail lights are prone to trail damage due to the fact that they sit 3" out from the body. This kit allows you install flush mounted round tail lights within the factory tail light opening, with minimal modifications. This kit consists of a pair of steel cover plates that are CNC precision formed to the unique curved shape of the JK-JKU rear corner sheet metal. We have included a cut out that is sized to accept many brands of off-the-shelf grommet style 4" round light tails. Each plate includes six (6) mounting holes. Drilling into your factory sheet metal is required. Stainless steel fasteners provided. NOTE: This kit will work either incandescent or LED tail lights. If installing LED tail lights, you will need a pair of resistors (MB5519 sold separately) to ensure proper operation with the JK Can Bus system. This kits ships as bare metal to allow you custom paint or powder coat to your own custom color scheme. INSTALL NOTES: Cutting the factory JK/JKU sheet metal is required. Once this product is installed the factory tail lights cannot be reinstalled at a later date. Some round LED tail lights are available with a back up light.
