It heats up your kitchen as it steams. The water quality is not as expected: tastes “hard.” (Berkey is much better.) After one use, large burned spots were on bottom inside unit and also around entire inside about three inches down from inside rim. (Before and after washing pictures attached.) After washing, it still had burned, discolored, spotted gray-brown areas where it obviously overheated over night. Return policy is terrible. They argued saying it’s just “water residue.” Very arrogant to customer via response, even before they receive the return item! Threatened to charge me a 50. usage fee and a large “restocking”fee. Do not buy.
