A: Hello, no it does not need to be refrigerated. I have had mine sitting out for months on the counter and they are fine.

A: Yes, its taste is very true to plain black coffee, but sweetened. It should make a nice mocha flavor if added to hot cocoa.

I enjoyed the coffee syrup. It tasted like coffee but wasn't bidder. The Splenda didn't taste artificial like so many sugar free items. I put it in my vanilla protein drink and it tastes like iced coffee.
