After cloth-diapering two previous babies I knew what I liked: Pockets. My favorite brand was no longer being made (Preston's Pants), and I had a pile of older and new Blueberries that fit my little one OK but not great. The biggest issue I was trying to resolve was this: My little one has ginormous thighs. At 7 months old they were 11" in circumference, with baby having a 17" waist and overall weight of around 18lbs. Several other reviewers seemed to feel these fit their chunky babies so I was ready to give them a whirl.They just don't cut it for my thunder thighed offspring. We are on the largest of the leg snaps and the largest of the waist snaps, and at 8 months old will probably outgrow this diaper by 9-10 months and 20+ pounds.The diaper itself is well made, but the liners were only moderately absorbent (I also have a heavy wetter here). The opening to stuff the pocket from front or back was far more annoying than I expected - I had to work at it to get the liner to fit just right and not sag. As for the leg gusset - it is a nice addition, but I also question the "patent" for it - leg gussets were very common when I started CD-ing over 8 years ago, and I really question the integrity of the person who decided to patent what was a commonplace design feature.The pattern was cute enough, although it seems upside-down unless you see your baby crawling away from you. I thought the plain color choices were muddy and ugly otherwise.Overall, if you have skinny or petite babies this may work for you. We are still looking for a solution to the chunky thigh diaper problem, ourselves.****Update**** May 28, 2014 *****This diaper actually lasted one more week after the initial review was written before it was too small to wear. This is a baby that was still around 18+ lbs, and just under 9 months old. Very disappointing to say the least!Edited on 11/22/14 to fix the 11" diameter to circumference since my little one's thighs are indeed not quite THAT chunky :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than BG's *by K***Y on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on August 13, 2014* My first experience with Thirsties were the duo one size. Yes, I liked the diaper, but no I did not like the fact that my skinny legged (75% height, 3% weight) grew out of the size 1 pocket diaper at barely 4 months, as the rise was too low and she loves to be on her tummy. Then, I discovered the OS pocket diapers. While I've had issues with my BG 4.0's repelling and leaking at daycare and at night, these pocket diapers have been bulletproof. (And yes, I've gone through the whole stripping, bleach, etc- I feel that BG suedecloth just can't handle my super-fast peeing baby whereas thirsties fleece can). No repelling, and the hemp/MF combo is great for super soaker babies. I can sleep easy at night when she has these on, knowing I won't have to deal with a wet and cold screaming baby at 3 am. Our alternative choices at night include Thirsties fitted with a Wollybottoms organic interlock cover which works equally well. I've bought 5 more of these pockets and seriously considering de-stashing my 30+ stash of BG 4.0's because of my new-found love for Thirsties OS. I hope to update this later on and hopefully do not have the repelling/leaking issues that I'm currently dealing with my BG's. Fingers crossed! My only wish is that the Thirsties company considers choosing darker colored piping/lining for their diapers, as white lined gussets can be difficult to sun out- that is my only complaint. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Great qualitiies but not the best fit for my child *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on January 26, 2015* These are my least favorite from my Grovia's, Bum Genius and AppleCheeks. They are a bit snug for a one size pocket diaper. My 7 month old is average size at 16 lbs so it makes me feel like these will be the first he will out grow. I will admit though that because they are on the slimmer side they fit nicely under his clothes right now (but so do my Grovia's). The leak protection is great and the inner gussets are my favorite part of this diaper. They also clean very nicely and the blackbird design is so pretty. The really nice part is the combination of inserts that can be used with this one size. I use the stay dry duo insert, 2 cotton velour doublers together as 1 insert or with the duo hemp prefold. The 2 lost stars are due to the fitting on my child, at first I made them too tight but once I got a proper fitting it still made marks on my baby's legs.
