MugGuard, Rear - Rear Mudguard, Black

This mudguard is awesome and flexible. Can convert from normal looking short to ugly but super effective long version. Rode in very wet and muddy conditions and my backpack, shirt, shorts, dropper post, and pivots were clean while other people had loads of gunk all over. Have confidence to ride straight through middle of the puddles and ride faster overall. I did end up losing one of the locking caps. I’m pretty sure I put it on tight but went down some super rocky rough high speed DH so things do tend to fall off in those conditions. I sent and email to muckynutz and they were nice about it and offered to send a replacement. I’m going to put a hole in the middle of the cap and placing a small zip tie just in case it happens again. Now that I’m used to riding clean and riding with abandon, don’t think I’ll go back to riding without this rear mudguard.

Easy to install and works great

This was bought for my SCOR 6080z ebike. I Would definitely recommend this product. At first I was skeptical but after receiving,installing and riding (wet muddy trail). I can definitely say I'm very happy. My rear pivot point and mechanisms were cleannn. Normally it is full with mud! The unit came with an extended piece but the short fit was sufficient. Seems sturdy as well. The packaging was nice as well!

Its rainy season but I still hit the trails with my dog and my 2021 Orbea Wild eMTB on a daily basis.. We blast through creeks and mud rain or shine. This ebike throws up a wacky mud rooster tail and when I get home my pants and shirt-back are caked with brown sludge. My rear shock, linkage and crank are generally under an inch of muck. And now....( trumpets) I've finally installed rear fender. This Mucky Nuts Muguard looked to be the best option out there, with adjustable stay angle. I found that it was too long and kooky-looking with the longer attachment, so I cut that down using the filler piece as a cut guide. I then attached that cut piece to the front area using vinyl bolts. Now everything is protected without looking clownish. Please see images for reference. All in all it works great and easy customization! Very happy I bought this..... 2/14 Update: Well this fender does indeed SLIP DOWNWARD toward the tire as I ride hard in the mud. The zip ties are as tight as possible. I wrapped electrical tape on the seatstay itself (each side) to stop the fender stays slipping downward. ***MUCKY NUTS: Please put some kind of lip on the front of the plastic stay arms to allow for electrical tape wrapping around the bike seat stay. Otherwise, just putting tape in front of it blocking it, the stay downward pressure will eventually push the tape over.

This rear fender is exactly what I wanted for my e-bike. It was quickly delivered too. This rear fender is well made, stylish, and durable. Easy to set up, however, no instructions were provided. It came with a nice carrying pouch for extra parts. To me, it was money well spent.

I never write reviews, but the Mugguard is awesome! I live and ride in the foothills of NorCal above Sacramento where wet season riding is sweet, but also slimy, mucky and muddy. Typically when I return home from a winter ride I need to hose down my riding gear outdoors before washing to remove the mud caked to my backside but no more. Not only do I not need to do so anymore, this fender keeps my lower legs and shoes significantly cleaner, bike too, with just a small fraction of the mud and spatter I normally experience. Great product and was super fast and easy to install as well, perhaps 10 minutes including final adjustments.

The design is weak. Weak point is the adjustable angle joint. Lasts utmost 3 rides on gravel road. Instead of having an adjustable angle joint, if it were like their front fender made of one piece it would be stronger. Just use zip tie and add n extender for rain.

The angle adjustment is nice to raise slightly and remove the slap common on fenders this size, the removable extension is a nice touch for those extra wet days. Fits solid, doesn't slide around. A++

Fit great on a Trek Slash. First ride using the long protector fender was night and day better than running no fender - so much cleaner and drier. I'm excited to run the short fender year round - hoping this will prolong the life of the rear triangle pivot points. The fender feels durable but will need to see how it holds up long term. I like the rubber pads - they held the item in place nicly throughout my descent. Install was easy, though I was warned they can scratch the frame so I put some vinyl tape down first.

Bin voll zufrieden mit dem Mucky Nutz MugGuard! Sendung kam aus England - Versandzeit nach Österreich wurde eingehalten und es entstanden keine zusätzlichen Kosten (Zoll oder Steuer) wie ich befürchtete. Das Schutzblech (Kunststoff!!!) ist von der Qualität super und wertig! Montage war einfach, ich änderte die Anbringung indem ich die Befestigungsteile an den zwei Radstreben in die Gegenrichtung montierte, da ich da bereits auch einen Träger drauf hatte. Es scheppert nichts und hält sehr gut (zusätzlich brachte ich noch Kabelbinder an). Geplant hatte ich nur den Teil zur Sattelstrebe hin zu montieren aber als Versuch steckte ich mal den längeren hinteren Teil auch drauf (kann man variabel verwenden oder nicht) und es passte für mich weil es gut aussieht!!!! Vielleicht werde ich es mal wieder wegtun je nach Laune. Kurzum ich bin voll zufrieden mit dem Teil und ich würde es -obwohl nicht billig- wieder kaufen! Hatte lange überlegt und es gab nicht wirklich viel Auswahl (wo Bewertungen und Zweck und Aussehen passten) Grüße aus Österreich hoffe ich kann einigen mit dieser Bewertung bei der Auswahl helfen - Ronald

Bought both front and back mudguard, they’re sturdy, hassle free installation and seem to be of good quality. Have used them for almost two weeks now and they are solid in position, lots of clearance and does the job for commuting with my work horse (trek xcaliber 2018).

Me funciona de maravilla en mi hardtail. Intente adaptar algunos anteriormente pero no quedaban del todo bien. Este encaja perfectamente. Llevo varias salidas y no se ha movido en lo absoluto. Recomiendo usar sujetadores de plástico en lugar de la tela qué incluyen para fijarlo a la bici.
