So much fun!! Works like a charm!!
Great magnification for looking at coins. The clarity, focus and brightness are a perfect combination to zoom in on coins and find the defects. It has a remote. Plus a viewing screen, so no eye strain. You are able to take a video or photos as you are working. It has a SD micro drive. My only critique is I wish you could adjust the microscope light, but the is a very small problem.

Excellent little microscope! No major complaints.
I bought this as I already do small soldering projects and other small projects where I need to magnify things significantly. I have an older very expensive Bausch & Lomb stereo microscope but I have to shove my face against it just right and it's very awkward, needless to say. That and an LED-lit magnifying glass but that's a fixed magnification and not enough to do some of the really small stuff. With this unit, there's a nice display - and if I need a bigger display I can hook up a larger monitor to it via HDMI (even includes the cable!) Records video and stills to the included SD micro card as well. Heck, it even includes a remote so you don't disturb the unit trying to take a picture or video! The display itself is nice and clear, the extra little lights help plenty but the camera is pretty good about adjusting to brightness on its own. Focus is super easy to do and gets plenty clear enough for me to do my work. Geared riser works excellent and can give you an overall big picture or get down pretty close. Very helpful for soldering small surface mount electronics or working on watches. Runs off USB (doesn't include an AC adapter but I bought myself an extension cord/surge protector that has some USB outlets on it so I don't need a wall wart.) The ONLY complaint I have (and it's extremely minor) is the bolt used to tighten the geared riser is extremely tough (without a wrench.) I designed and 3D printed a simple knurled knob that gives you enough leverage to tighten/loosen the bolt without a wrench. That way I don't have to go run and dig in my toolbox for a wrench just to adjust it (if even necessary.) I will say that the base where the lights are has it's own battery, so you'll have to charge that separately (again, cable included at least!) but it's something you'll need to be aware of when using it. Best part is, I was able to show my 9 year old how to solder and he took to it like a pro after watching me do it on the microscope.

Great for circuit board repair
I have been using this for nearly a year and have been very happy with it. I use it for hobbyist micro soldering and its great. I have no trouble seeing what I am doing. The extra lighting options are nice, but honestly I basically never use the worm lights on the side. Nice to have them, but if you want to save a few dollars you can get a model without them and you almost certainly won't miss them. My kids also like using it from time to time to look at things up close. This isn't the type of microscope where you can see cells, as I saw at least one questionable review stating, but it certainly works to see all the little details of insects or see the grooves in your finger prints. My very young daughter saw a speck of dirt one time in those groves on one of her fingers and now like to look at her hands after she washes them to see if they are really clean. It gets quite a bit of use around here. I would recommend keeping it plugged into power. If you are using it for brief periods like inspecting a circuit board and turning it off it will last for an ok amount of time, but drains pretty fast so if you are working on something more in-depth like recapping a retro console it might run out of power on you. It certainly has for me. I have not tested the recording quality on a larger screen, but looks the same to me playing back on the on-board display. It's not really a feature I use. The navigation is also a bit finicky getting between photo and video recording and then getting into the saved files the time I tested it. I have used the HDMI output briefly, and that worked fine, but did not see any value in using it. The 7" screen has been fine and created less of a disconnect in my head moving my tools around the board I am looking at when working on repairs. I would absolutely recommend this.

Portable Microscope Providing Great Magnification at a reasonable price. Would Buy Again.
I’ve been using the microscope for about 1.5 months now and quite pleased with my purchase. The scope arrived well packaged and requires a little assembly. You’ll want to have an adjustable wrench on hand but no other tools are required. The collar that the Vertical Support sits in has a bolt to secure the support in place and you won’t be able to loosen/tighten it by hand. When the scope is first turned on it comes up on video mode which has a slightly lower magnification level than the camera mode. You’ll notice the difference immediately when switching between the two modes. Overall, operation is simple and easy. I mostly use the scope in camera mode to examine coins but other uses are only limited to your imagination. Note that the scope assembly can be used without the mounting assembly, just takes a steady hand to keep it in focus. Pros: Small, light-weight, good magnification, portable (can be used in the field), has an HDMI connection to display the image on your PC screen, 32Gb micro SD card included, includes remote control. Cons: No micro SD card adapter (my PC won’t accept the small micro card), no way to attach the remote to the camera body for storage (see Improvement suggestions below). Improvements: I added a cardboard ‘compartment’ to the underside of the platform. This allows me to slide the remove into the opening and avoids losing the remote. See pics. Not really an improvement but a way to squeeze a little more magnification out of the lens. The lowest downward vertical travel of the camera is limited by the vertical support bottoming out in its holder. By placing the object to observe on a raised platform (say a book at least 1/8 inch thick), you can lower the camera body closer to the object and still be able to focus. Removing the lens shield you can get even closer but be careful not to allow the lens to touch the object or you’ll damage the lens.

Absolutely amazing Tool❗👌
This amazing Microscope, is about the best tool for anyone into analyzing coins. I love the fact that we don't need special drivers to connect it to the computer. This is my fifth microscope. All the other ones, have not been as efficient as I needed them to be, and so wasn't the quality. The Worse of them is that, I couldn't even connect them to the computer. So, I definitely recommend this amazing Microscope and the company as well.👌

power sources
I liked the easy setup. The instruction booklet was expertly done and following the written instructions that accompanied the brilliant photos made for an easy and quick setup. The only negative thing about this item is the power sources. No where in the online description or the online photos does it mention or show external power sources. For the unit to work you need two separate power sources which you have to find. This is only mentioned in the accompanying booklet. Therefore the rating.
