Or do you leave gaps?** A: It is meant to fill in the gaps when the sheets of plasterboard are sandwiched together but does not always do that if the gaps are too large so it is actually more effective if it is spread out to cover the sheet, leaving a small gap at the edges so it does not seep out (only about 5mm all round). It is messy doing the covering but does seem to work better if there are no gaps before sandwiching them together. **Q: These tubes are bigger than your average caulk and silicone sealant. Any recommendations on an applicator?** A: Yes, you need a special applicator which you can buy from the official Green Glue site, as it is much bigger than the ordinary silicone applicator. It's quite pricey too, over £30, as far as I can remember. I would also recommend using MORE glue that the quantity recommended in the videos, or you won't get a a continuous layer between the two soundboards. **Q: Can it take longer to work if applied in the winter** A: the green glue takes several weeks to work better I found it worked for me blocked sounds coming from next door **Q: will this help reduce the noise from neighbours into my little girls room with a plasterboard directly onto the wall , or do you have to leave a gap** A: You need to leave a space and the green glue sandwiched between two layers of plasterboard that are attached to a framework away from the wall.
