The smoothness is wonderful and you hardly feel the balde or have to apply any pressure as it glides effortlessly. It is easy to hold and the five blades really do help. However, why 4 stars not 5? I'm so glad you asked :) This, I think from a customer's POV would have been better value for money is the shaver came with a guard for the blades and an extra blade.
