For everyday use, keep the working load around 2500 lbs. That covers most small and mid-size boats, jet skis, ATVs and utility trailers. Use the 3.4:1 gear for quick pulls and 6.8:1 for heavy loads. **Q: Can this winch be used for lifting?** A: No. This winch is designed for pulling and loading. Never use it to lift people or to hold loads overhead. **Q: How do I safely operate the winch?** A: Wear gloves, keep hands away from the gears and cable, and make sure the load is balanced. Set the ratchet to forward to pull in and to reverse to let out. Never leave a load unsecured. **Q: How should I maintain and store the winch?** A: Keep the winch clean and dry. Check the cable, gears and ratchet regularly, and lubricate moving parts. Store it in a dry, covered place. **Q: Can this winch be used in marine or wet environments?** A: Yes. The zinc-plated steel resists rust outdoors and near water. After saltwater use, rinse with fresh water, dry the winch and apply a light coat of oil. ## Frequently Bought Together - Trailer Winch – Durable Hand Crank – 3500 lbs Hand Winch with Cable - Boat Trailer Cable, Heavy Duty Rope Crank for Trailer, Boat or ATV Towing - Groove Wheel Pulley Stainless Steel Pulley Block Super Silent Single Pulley Block for DIY Gym Equipment,Sliding Gate Detachable Duplex Bearing with Mounting Screws and Expansion Pipes U Type (2 Pack) - Penkwiio Cable Pulley + Carabiner Duplex Bearing 360 Degree Rotation Loading 1760lb/800Kg for Pulley System DIY Attachment Lifting Blocks, hoists,Ladder Lift,DIY Home Projects, Clothesline, Shop Lifts --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/523551988-trailer-winch-durable-hand-crank-3500-lbs-hand-winch-cable](https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/523551988-trailer-winch-durable-hand-crank-3500-lbs-hand-winch-cable) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Kingdom* *Store origin: GB* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
