(I use a much better product for permanent repairs). I suspect, just like any zinc galvanizing, it probably wouldn't be good for pets if they constantly chew on the fence. But if that is the case, your pet probably shouldn't be behind a galvanized fence anyways. It is very thin and runny when sprayed and takes an hour or so to dry. I used to have two Labs that would chew right through a chain link fence, opening a hole a foot in diameter. Didn't seem to permanently harm them, but those dogs could take abuse, kid abuse, in stride.
