Review: A Bombastic romp through the DC Dark Multiverse! - There is nothing more to add about the graphic novel that has not been said, except that it is a bombastic event that takes comic book exhilarations to the max. Collects the entire Metal storyline, including all tie-ins, in chronological order. The artwork is simply out-of-this-universe (if you get my pun😉). Binding is great. Seller Bookswagon packaged the omni in bubble wrap and then a cardboard box. Was delivered without any dent or tear. As you can see from the photos, I have wrapped an extra cover over the omni to prevent additional wear and tear to the dust jacket. About the story- Fair warning, you have to have a basic idea of the events that transpired before...(OR you could treat whatever bits you don't get as comic book hokey and enjoy it anyway). But here's the lowdown anyway 👇 Basic idea required - All the crisis events (what happened, who died etc.), Blackest night, Rebirth and Heroes in crisis (will help later in death metal with re-emergence of Wally West) Moderate grasp needed - Final crisis death of Batman and the return of Bruce Wayne (for how Barbatos came to be), Flashpoint, Death of the new 52 superman and emergence of the Pre-crisis superman, Darkseid War Strong grasp on - Snyder and Capullo's Batman run (the 'metals' that Batman was imbued with). Then you have the Metal storyline! Follow it up with No justice, snyder's run on justice league, and then the Batman who laughs, Batman/Superman vol. 1, the Infected and then Year of the Villain Hell Arisen (collected editions).
