Does this shade have a plastic chassis at the bottom so you don't see the bulb if you look up?

I am afraid not. The bulb is clearly visible by looking up. Having said that, I am thrilled with these shades. They do have a very modern feel and really do change from grey to a warm yellow when they are turned on. I hope that this may help in your decision making.

Does the black one make the room dark when turned on?

This makes the room bright,, very attractive

Is this compatible with bc3 3pin lightbulbs?

Dear Customer, We only sell lampshades, and the type of bulb that is compatible with your lamp will depend on the type of socket you have.

Hi, could this be attached to a floor lamp? or would that make it the wrong way? tia

No it isn’t the right way up for a floor lamp and is not convertible.
