Review: This knife is solid! The Ergos and the handle are absolutely fantastic, the blade is gorgeous and it's Italian! How cool is that? Did you know the handle is one piece? There's no seam on the bottom so it feels creamy to hold. I don't know anything about the steel or sharpening, but it is extremely sharp out of the box, users speak very highly of it and this is a grail knife for many. It's a perfect size for anything but the most demanding tasks. This and an M7 are the perfect do-anything pair. The sheath is terrific and even though I couldn't snap the retention strap closed the first time, I was able to eventually use enough force to get it closed, and from there the leather stretched out to make subsequent closures much easier. It works very well now. I also really like the Molle straps and snap on the backside. It's a very nice and very sturdy setup. Would recommend this knife highly to anyone looking for a comfortably large bushcraft knife.

**Q: What angle is best to use when sharpening the blade?**
A: It has a convex edge, i.e., not a fixed angle.  Sometimes called an apple seed edge.  This is a very strong edge.  Suggest that you mark the edge with a sharpie and then run your angle settings to see where it rides on the mark. The distance the shinny pass is from the factory edge will tell you how effort it will take to pull that angle down to the edge.  For best results, remember to strop after the sharpening.  The small belt type of sharpeners do a passible job when you can use an area away from the platen where the belt can flex a little to result in a concave edge.  Then strop the edge.
