In Star Century Zero-One-Sixty-Five, the Global Union was born. To provide an impartial mediator to the various planetary governments of the G.U., the Galactic Organization of Trade and Tariffs, or G.O.T.T. was simultaneously formed to settle economic disputes amongst the member planets. Existing in the shadows of the G.O.T.T., the ES Force serves as the G.O.T.T.'s primary law enforcement organization. ES Force members Eclair and Lumiere are on the front line, pursuing all manner of criminals and bringing them to justice. This is their story. Review: Slow start but great conclusion. - I bought this series quite a while ago and just now finished watching it. Have you ever gone to a party and nothing really was happening , so you left to go to another party ,only to find out later that the first party turned out to be ' the party of the year'? That's the comparison I have about Kiddy Grade . I watched the first 3 discs and they were good but they didn't have that 'Wow factor' that keeps you rooted to the screen. So the other day I grabbed the box off the shelf and inserted disc 4 . Thats when I realized I had 'left the party ' too soon. The first 3 discs are good , giving insight about the girls personalities and the various missions they are sent on , the introduction of other GOTT teams and also hinting that something is amiss behind the scenes at the GU and GOTT. Disc 4 is really where the show takes off. All the missions the girls were sent on were just small pieces to a large picture and also giving the back story of Eclair and Lumiere. The characters I liked from the beginning . They couldn't be more completely opposite , Lumiere is the epitome of a refined elegant lady and despite appearing to be much younger than Eclair ,she is more level headed and sensible. Eclair is more of a free spirit who sometimes lets her emotions overrule her orders , she's not afraid to go out in public dressed sloppily or picking up a piece of dropped food and eating it , much to the chagrin of Lumiere who points out she should act more elegantly. So if you want a great series at a great price , then Kiddy Grade fits the bill. The last 5 discs more than make up for the pacing of the first 3. The characters are as diverse as any cast I've ever seen , with each GOTT team having distinct personalities and powers. One of the extras on the discs are portfolios of the Gott teams outlining their personalities , their powers and equipment. Trust me on this one Kiddy Grade is a great show and a great value that you should pick up. Review: You Don't Want to Miss Out On This! - I first came across Kiddy Grade on TV. I thought it was really cool. I think that both genders should like watching this series. The graphics are good, the picture clear and the sound is grate. There is a total of 24 episodes, English and Japanese languages and the usual kind of extras. This is a sci-fi anime with very cool fight scenes, drama, suspense a good story line and some pretty neat robots. The story revolves around Éclair and Lumiere who are ES Force members of the Global Union, a shadow force that serves as the primary law enforcement for the Galaxy. Éclair and Lumiere go through quite a few exciting adventures and through out them you'll fall in love with both characters. Éclair begins to remember bits and pieces from her past and during a tedious mission the situation escalates to the point where Éclair can't take anymore and losses it which results in her and her partner being hunted down by their fellow Es members some of whom where friends. This series has a good ending; it's funny, sad, and exciting all at once. You won't regret buying the Viridian Collection. This is truly a great show. NOTE: I wouldn't recommend this series for anyone under the age of 16. There isn't any bad language but there is some adult humor and suggestive scene like the clothing the girls are wearing etc. Samurai 7: Box Set (Viridian Collection) Spiral - The Complete Series (The Viridian Collection)

Arrived on time. Ok show.
The inner section that holds the DVD discs came broken. Not surprised at all.. however they play very well. As for the show it can't seem to hold my attention very long. I'll finish watching it eventually. The fan service is sporadic nothing to get excited about

Great Show!
A fun series with lots of twists and turns in the story line. Action, espionage, with humor tossed in, all abound. And don't forget the heartfelt moments. ("ANIME: Storytelling at its best")

A great story with great art
A hidden gem of an anime! Short and concise at 23 episodes. A great story with great art, cool sleek designs, and decent superhero sci-fi concepts. I found it a bit heavy on the fan service, though the "panty shots" were minimal compared with some anime productions out there. I'm no prude, but I felt the fan service was unnecessary for a story of this kind. Remarkably, this show deals with some metaphysical concepts, such as karma and reincarnation (albeit with a science-fiction explanation over a spiritual one), as well as overcoming one's deep regrets and bitterness. The only downside to this show would be that certain aspects of the world building and characters' origins are never explained concretely. That being said, check it out people . . .

Arrived heavily damaged
The entire case for the set was shattered upon delivery. Looks as though it was stepped on or something fell upon it. Another DVD case in the same package was fine, no idea what happened. Disc's appear to be in working order despite the case being destroyed.

Hi, I love this anime series. I enjoy watching every minute of this series. The action and suspense that are incorporated in this series gives the storyline more enjoyment to watch. I will definitely recommend this series to other fellow anime watchers! Thanks!

"Kiddy Grade" is a strange title for a science fiction series about superheroes. It refers to the idea that there are varying grades of "super", and the two we follow are considered to be in the lowest, or kiddy, grade (interestingly, the phrase "kiddy grade" does not appear anywhere in the show). We follow Eclair and Lumiere, troubleshooters for the Galactic Union of Trade and Tariffs (GOTT - analogous to the WTO). They look like children, but we slowly learn that they have been around for quite a while. Eclair is fast, strong, wields a lipstick lariat, and is recklessly cheerful. Lumiere has the ability to control computers at a distance, and is forever saying "a lady should be more elegant" in response to Eclair brashness. Over the course of the series we meet other trouble-shooting pairs working for the GOTT, like Sinistre and Dextre, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and Alv and Dvergr. Each has different powers. I won't spoil it for you, but trust that there is an over-arching story which ties it all together. This is a series which rewards going back and watching again - I have just finished watching it for the third time (first time was in 2004), and enjoyed it even more. I originally bought this series as it came out, disc by disc, and that was expensive. Buying it this way is much cheaper, and there's no waiting for the release of the next disc!

I honestly love this show and am super happy that I finally own it. I saw this anime many many years ago and fell in love with the story that surrounded Eclair & Lumiere. I highly suggest this show. DVD quality is great the case is perfect and has some extras as well. Super Happy with the product
