I have a south facing garden so the battery is always charged.I have the timer set for 1 minute, but when it first comes on at night it stays on, some times it can stay on for 10 or more minutes before it goes of,after that it seems to work normally, not that i stay and watch it all night. I did email MicroSolar re this and they emailed back to say that it is a program to protect the battery from being over charged. I do think this should be mentioned in the instructions.Apart from that its a good buy and value for the money. Had this light working for over two years now, and its as good as new. ### ⭐⭐ Originally Good But Only Lasted 4 Months *by E***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 January 2016* I was very pleased with the item originally. It was a bit fiddly to set it up but got it working well and mounted it at 1st floor height. I set it so when the PIR was triggered the light stayed on for about 30 secs. After 4 months (January) what has happened is when it goes dark the light comes on when triggered and stays on until the battery has completely drained. Not really sure why this has suddenly happened but after contacting Amazon they've agreed for me to send it back for a full refund. After reading other reviews I think in theory these lights are good but the life span of them is very poor.UPDATE : I've not touched the light but it seems to be working fine again now.
