I've never had any issues with Arduino IDE though. **Q: I have windows 10 and just doesn't recognise the board I've tried all drivers old and new, any ideas?** A: I use win 10 and it works with the Arduino compiler, which has the Esp32 library installed. I had a similar problem once, which was the usb cable. It turned out to be a 'Charge Only' cable, which didnt have the signal wires. So the PC could not 'see' the esp32.
