I only had 1 screw split the wood a bit, so I wood glued the split back together and the next day re-drilled the pilot hole and it was fine. It was easy to build by myself and with basic tools, hammer and a powered screwdriver. Everything is included and it's ready to be assembled as soon as you open the box. Have recently retired & thought it would make a good hobby. This is a great kit. It comes with everything you need except wood glue. That's probably just as well, since it is made in China, so there's no telling how long it's in transit or in storage...might as well go to the hardware store and get a fresh bottle. The dovetail joints are precise & tight, the wood is good quality, & it all comes together tight & square. The screw holes for the boxes are pre-drilled & countersunk. The assembly instructions are VERY rudimentary, but if you're reasonably handy with tools & projects you should be able to figure them out. I had the boxes assembled in a couple of hours. Assembling the frames took longer than anything. Not wanting to sound like a smartaleck or a know-it-all...if you can't figure out how to assemble it, maybe you don't need to be handling live bees.
