**Q: Would this be too difficult for a 6 year old to start learning?**
A: Great question!  I taught my six year old how to play in about 10 minutes and a few practice hands faced up.  He regularly beats me now!  I would suggest starting with what is the goal (earn 10 points to win), where to count the points (upper right/left I forgot which side), how to combine elements to make molecules to gain points.  The color coding is also very helpful!

**Q: What is the difference between this game and the Valence Plus game?**
A: Valence is a little lighter - when two people are familiar with the game, they can knock out a game in 10 minutes. So, it can be a quick, light activity, and because it's portable you could even bring it on the road. Valence Plus is more of a gamer's game - there's some more rules, substantially more molecules / elements / chemical reactions, and will take about 45 minutes to complete.

**Q: How many cards are there? Are they paper or plastic? Are all the 118 elements covered?**
A: Not all elements are covered, this is an introductory level game to introduce core concepts. This is a great game for people who need a fantastic reminder of the basics. The cards are very good quality, easily shuffled. Nicely coated paper. My 8 year old loves the game.

**Q: How long does an average game take to play?**
A: One round takes about 15 minutes with 2 players. A four player round takes about 10 minutes.
