Description

Mounting rail is 4" (100mm) long with four horizontal slots accommodating most Weaver RDS units
Custom design foot provides low profile and highly repeatable mounting accuracy
Mounts to standard flash shoe on camera or bracket
ONLY WEAVER MOUNT RDS units are accommodated with the standard rail. Order the Xtend-a-Sight Plus + Dovetail Adapter for smaller dovetail RDS units.
Includes Xtend-a-Sight Plus and instructions for use. Does not include RDS unit or Dovetail adapter

The Xtend-a-Sight allows you to mount a Red Dot Sight (RDS), typically found attached to rifles and pistols, to the flash shoe of your camera or a flash bracket. This allows you to track moving objects much more accurately than by using the LCD or the viewfinder because the LCD generally "locks up" for a short while during processing of a picture and the viewfinder of a DSLR is "blanked" during the mirror up routine. Because of the viewfinder's limited view, it's difficult to keep a moving object in sight. Whether it's birds in flight, car races, air shows, sports action, or even children at play, the Xtend-a-Sight is the modern "sports finder" capturing nearly every important action photo. The new version incorporates a single, longer Weaver mount rail (which accommodates longer RDS units), with multiple horizontal slots accommodating a much wider variety of Red Dot Sight versions. DOES NOT INCLUDE DOVETAIL ADAPTER.
