A charming high school romance between a tender hooligan and an orphaned girl with enchanting artwork by Amu Meguro. Little did Nao Kogure realize back in middle school that when she left an umbrella and a box of bandages in the rain for injured delinquent Taiga Onise that she would meet him again in high school. Nao wants nothing to do with the gruff and frightening Taiga, but he suddenly presents her with a huge bouquet of flowers and asks her to date him—with marriage in mind! Is Taiga really so scary, or is he a sweetheart in disguise? The two main characters are incredibly sweet and sincere. I think their relationship is very pure and delightful. The side characters are also quite likable the more you get to know them. I am so excited to see how this ends. Review: amazing - super cute story!! defo buying the others soon

The love interest is too perfect to be true...
Meh... The plot was pretty boring and the main character, Onise, is sooooo perfect that... I don't know how to explain it... he's so perfect that I don't want to read about such perfection. I mean, since he's so perfect there's no room for improvement for him. Kogure is your normal shōjo girl. Nothing interesting in her, as well. I quite like the art, though. It's not the usual shōjo style. I'll drop the series with no regrets.

Amazing love story
I love this story! It’s about a girl who ends up dating a yanki. It’s such a cute story I can’t wait to get more of it! The art is amazing but the writing is a little repetitive as in using the same word over and over again. I thought it might have been because of the translation but the Japanese version as well. But as the story goes no the waiting also gets better. In short this is a great romance story that I would recommend if you love cheesey love story’s and if your looking for something new to read or something to read in between big series.

satisfied shojo manga lover
Honey So Sweet 1 was a cute and charming introduction to this new series. I can tell that Amu Meguro has put a lot of heart and effort into this first book. Nao Kogure is the main character and through an act of selfless kindness during middle school, has captured the heart of “delinquent” Taiga Onise. The two encounter each other again in high school and Taiga asks her to date him with marriage in mind. For me (and I may be incorrect), this translates to him wanting to be in a steady relationship with her. Nao accepts primarily through fear. Taiga comes off as a scary troublemaker to people but he’s really a sweetie pie. Nao’s relationship with her young uncle (who is also her guardian) is quite touching and may be kind of weird to some people because she is in love with him. I think her love for him is not the kind you would feel for a lover, which I’m sure she will truly realize as the series progresses. The heartbreak from the loss of one’s parents at such a young age is incredibly devastating and Nao’s uncle does his absolute best to protect and care for her. He gives her good advice about Taiga by telling her to not listen to rumors from other people and actually get to know him. He may turn out to be a good person. I concur! I think this is good advice that anyone can take. The art style is beautiful and well done. I find the characters to be interesting and I can’t wait for their backstories to unfold. I am looking forward to reading more from this series!
