I don't even realize they're around my neck.I lost my glasses my first time paddle-boarding and then I had to drive home. It was very poor planning on my part, so I ordered this because I thought the little bobbers would really prevent my glasses from falling to the bottom of the lake.I did test them in the bathtub before I used them and they worked, and I have trusted them ever since.
