Thanks** A: The total length of the product I purchased from the top of the metal housing to the outer edge of the pin insert is 75mm closed (As pictured). The total length when the pin is pulled down is 130mm I hope this helps. **Q: Would this be suitable for patio doors?** A: Depends on the type you have, they would not fit my doors. And anyway, these are internal hinges with the doors opening inwards, and it would be possible for someone to remove the pins and then the door, gaining entry to your house if they were fitted externally. Hope this answers your question. **Q: Does this fix a dropped door if the hinge is broken** A: If it is the top or bottom hinge then this could pull the door back into alignment. If only the broken hinge is causing the problem then you would expect the door to only rub on the side opposite the hinge. You should also check for wear on the other hinges (The gap between the two parts of the hinge should be the same size) **Q: are these hinges left and right-handed or do have to buy them left or right?** A: The ones I used were left-handed, or so I thought. Looking at them again today I see you could just turn them upside down and they become right handed.
