Acts as a noise barrier between the turbo trainer and my wooden floor although you still get the noise from the fluid unit. Indentations are left in the mat by the weight of human body and turbo trainer but once the TT is taken off the mat the indentations disappear after about half an hour. I don't have any problems with sweat but that is probably because I put a large towel down on top of the mat. This is down to sheer habit and is purely personal. The only slight gripe is that I think it is a bit expensive. Carpet is protected and it seems to absorb some noise so I’m happy.
