My cat pooped on the carpet the day i changed the litter. i did put 2 cm in. what should i do, i really want to use it?

I do put more than 2cm in as you can scoop the soil out and it should last a week . My elderly cat who used to be clean unfortunately poops on the carpet etc. as well as the litter tray . Because of his age I just cope with it .

What is this made from?

To my knowledge vegetable matter. I find it very good no smell and you can flush it down the loo. We use when it’s bad weather and he won’t go out.

By chance does this litter leave your cat with white foot prints? Not so nice on the dark floors...

Not sure about footprints. However, if you use more than the 2cm layer it does track lots. I have been using this for over a year and think it's the best litter available. I was hovering daily, but I have just purchased the Iris Ohyama, Cat litter tray and it works fabulously. 2cm of litter, top opening litter tray and a litter mat has changed my life. There is virtually no litter on the floor. I have 4 cats and in the process of swapping out all my trays to the Iris ones. Together they work brilliantly. I highly recommend it
