As highlighted on their first album, Paranoid & Sunburnt, the group have a tendency for being frank, explicit and often militant. However, as well as the hardcore rants, Stoosh also shows off the band's softer side, especially on bittersweet tracks like "Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)". Full of postmodern flourishes, the songs flitteringly deal with lifestyle politics, sung with equal parts rage and tenderness by their striking frontwoman, Skin.
