I purchased these just to use one half of the clasp. But the center post dimension was taller and thicker and would fit in my existing female clasp so had to replace both of clasps rather than just the release clasp. The clasp appears well made and all has ended Ok after some additional work in the removing the belt stitching on my existing female clasp, and replacing the female clasp with the new one.
