And the front cover of my dvd states "AS SEEN ON THE BBC"!!!!! The BBC,ITV,Channels 4& 5 and others would not show a programme without subtitles so how can this bunch get away with selling a dvd minus subs in today's world of graphics and technology? It does anger me as there are one in seven people who have hearing difficulties in the UK and should not be excluded from enjoying a very good series like this because the film company excludes subs from the dvd.Australian accents, background noise, musical score to add effect to certain scenes ---- this really did cry out for subtitles in my honest opinion. We did manage to follow most of the twisty-turney plot which was good but it was hard work without the subtitles for some of us.Would have given it 5 stars if the subs were available. Sorry. Didn't want to give this 1 star to highlight my review as that would have unfairly brought down the overall rating.There is now another dvd version with a big 'M' on the front cover, bottom left, which is advertised as having subtitles---- go for that if you need the subtitles---- it wasn't for sale when I bought the version I own. The whole setting was nicely laid out, the idea is very good. Characters were good, they were not perfect, had flaws, everything, seriously good.When my parents told me to watch this mini series I was very much like: Nay, I'll pass.
