Hunter Women's Play Tall Rain Boot

Lovely boots, great fit

Very good Quality for a reasonable Price. Fit's as normal. A bit wide as 'Unisex Edition' but with the hunter socks which I recently bought, they fit just perfect. Had them on for a 2 hour walk in a nature reserve area , for the moment, pretty muddy there, so just perfect for the rubber boots. As being German, did not actually know Hunter Wellingtons before I got here back in August 2014 but someone borrowed me hers and after that, just had to get a pair myself. Love them!

This is my 2nd pair of Hunter wellies. First pair lasted 30 years then the rubber split at the heal. Can't complain about that. Looking forward to another 30+ years in this pair. Worth the money. Hunters fleece socks make them toasty too in the winter, but you need that one size bigger to accommodate the socks and to fit in general. They seem to come up half to one size smaller than your normal size.

It looks like just about all makers of wellington boots have changed to a 'fashion' shaped toe - narrower and slightly pointy. I much prefer standard welly boots, with the wider, rounder, clumpier toe, and when I saw that these were 'Hunter Original' I mistakenly thought they would be the traditional wellies that Hunter used to make. The boots are fine, but I don't like the slightly pointy look of them.

My calves are bigger than normal and it was difficult to find good size of boots or rain shoes. These rain boots have flares on the back. So there is enough space. In the beginning of wearing these I feel bit hard and uncomfortable. However while I am wearing (15min?), the rubber will be soft and fit my legs. After that, I feel comfortable to walk. It was the first time feeling to wearing such comfortable with rain boots. I use these in stead of the leather boots in the raining when I go to urban areas.

I have just received my Blue Hunter wellies. They look good and fit well. They replace my ancient Hunters that I have had for years. They arrived in a Hunter box but I was surprised to see in the box and wellies the signs saying by appointment to the queen and by appointment to the Duke of Edinburgh, both of whom have been dead for years. Surely these appointments cease to exist two years after they died. That date has passed for both of them. Does this mean that the wellies have been stored for a long time or that they are, in fact, not genuine Hunters?

The very first Hunters I bought lasted for 25 years and I lived in them virtually night and day for dog walking, horse riding and the occasional festival. They might have lasted even longer but one got lost during a house move so I had to buy another pair. Sadly, the quality of these was clearly not as good as my original pair and have lasted for just less than five years (which is still a reasonably good performance, just not exceptional, as before). These were slightly taller than my original pair and ended up cracking along the sole, leaking at the heel and the rubber splitting over the top of the foot. Still, I love the style of Hunters and based on past good reputation I bought yet another pair. On arrival I was less than impressed with the quality of the boots. They now look very cheap indeed. It's as if the manufacturer has dramatically cut costs by using the cheapest materials available but is still charging high end retail prices. When I tried the boots on, I found that the interior soles were smaller than the actual length of the boots leaving an uncomfortable gap at the toes. Needless to say, I have returned them. It's such a shame that the standards have slipped so drastically on what was originally an exceptionally good product.

Love them! I thought my calves would be to big but nope! I have been wanting a pair for a while and they are perfect! I think I need another pair! In a different color!!!!!

Love these boots! Love the color. So excited to finally have a pair of Hunter Boots! Fast delivery and exactly what I expected. I wear size 7 1/2 -8 shoe and opted for the 8. Fits good, but there is definitely room. I think the 7?would of fit too perfectly and would not left room for thicker socks. Now go get a pair!

I really like them. Good quality. I like that it is wide so it actually makes the leg look straighter and easier to take off comparing to the classic ones. Something that can last a long time.

Fit is as expected. FYI - if you have a high instep or want to wear thick socks you’ll want to order a size up.
