Some places it was most unclear what was being described, other places it was far too technical. I suspect that part was written by somewhat whose first language is not English and while being very good, it led to some awkwardness in the writing. The book was somewhat hampered by targeting a wide audience (both Europe and the US) which meant using both Imperial and Metric measurements - "take a piece of float glass between 5 and 8 inches long (12.7cm to 20.32cm)! If the piece of glass to be selected had to be of a size so imprecise (5 to 8 inches), why bother with such precision when quoting the metric equivalent?I feel a bit guilty being so negative about such a good book but there were a lot of things like those mentioned that niggled and reduced the pleasure of reading it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful book *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 9 December 2010* As someone who has never tried any work with glass before, I was looking for a good introductory book to help me decide whether to pursue this as a hobby.
