I live in sunny Arizona, and the battery packs are on my ROOF so they get 10+ hours of direct sunlight each day... however, they are completely dead by about 11pm each night. Prior to being completely dead, the red, yellow, and green colors fade within the first hour or so of turning on, so it looks like I only have blue lights instead of the multicolored. It took so much time to put all the lights up that I cannot bring myself to take them down to replace them for this Christmas, so I just have a relatively pathetic light display at my home this year. Note I have 3 packs of white solar string lights from another seller that last all night and through the early morning. Next year, I will be buying only from them. ### ⭐ I live in California where it’s pretty gosh darned sunny *by H***B on Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2017* The lights only stay on for 1 hour in the evening, if that. I tried leaving it on off to see if that would help and i got the same result. The seller has responded to other people experiencing the same issue with the suggestion that they’re not getting enough direct light or that the light is too weak. I live in California where it’s pretty gosh darned sunny, even in the winter. Also, I have other solar lights - from two different companies w/out any issue. I would skip these if I were you and buy a different product. It’s too bad. Still I would have been happy with them except that they would only stay lit for about 2 hours before running out of power, which means that by 8:30 in the evening here at Christmas time in Indiana, they were already off. Not good enough for me, I returned them.
