I promise not to give any spoilers but BOY OH BOY this is not what I expected! I have only finished the 1st book but was so amazed by the story line that I needed to give this book a reviewThe whole book is based on mindsets (his and hers) so if you are looking for erotica this is not the book for you, It is not an Alpha Male meets poor pretty girl and they fall in love after having lots and lots of amazing sex and then live happily ever after, nor is is a book like One Day where they meet, fall in love but do not tell each other and then one dies. This book is different, original and a compulsive read!I cried, I laughed (albeit not a lot), I wished and hoped and screamed and at the end of the book rubbed my hands together and cheered!I finished book 1 an hour ago and have already started book 2!!!!!!Book 1 is free at the moment so I suggest you grab a copy, find a cosy corner and start reading. In the beginning I loved it, was 100% sure it was a 5 star review and already started looking at other books by the author. I was gripped, I could visualise the characters etc... this was for the first 30% of the book. Then it just went down hill and got worse and worse. By 70%, i really considered just stopping reading, but then some reviews said the end was great so i persevered. But i have to be honest, I did end up skimming a few pages where it was obviously the same repeated stuff again. Unfortunately I wasn't that impressed with the ending. It was a twist I didn't guess at the start, but i just kind of felt like 'so what?'.Here's my major gripes with the book - the word "compartmentalize" is repeated so much in the second half of the book that i literally wanted to chuck my kindle at the wall every time the author repeated it. You are also constantly updated on the villains ever colour changing eyes. There was no reason to go on about it THAT much.Also, and this may be kind of a little bit spoiler-ish so apologies, but - I wanted to read a thriller book. Something that scared and chilled me. But after the first 30% of this book, I suddenly just felt like i was reading fifty shades of grey or something (ive never read it, but from what i hear, i imagine it's similar). I just found it frustrating and annoying.By the end of it, I felt nothing for the victim either. As recommended in someone else's review once I got tired of the repetitivity of Claire's though "I hate him"=>"Oh he's nice"=>He hurts her=>I hate him=>but he's being nice...etc I skipped over to 90%.
