I bought a table that came with used balls. When I used this, the balls went completely matt. Is this because they are actually incompatible material?

HiYou will probably find the balls were made from polyester. If they are an old set then it will be very hard to make them shine regardless of how much effort you put in.The ball cleaner/restorer is designed for use on Aramith balls which are made from phenolic resin. RegardsPete
