Banana plugs are much easier though. **Q: Can bare speaker wires connect to the back side of the plate (in wall), or are banana plugs needed there too?** A: I would strongly recommend banana plugs on both sides of the wall plate. The wires are quite close together back there, and if the ground out you could have a pricey problem with your system. It is worth the small cost to do it right. **Q: Is the hdmi compatible with 4k uhd?** A: It will pass thru 4K, but I could only get 8bit and no HDR support. Removed it and and HDR starting working. I would use a brush plate and avoid this for any 4K project.
