This one keeps up with however fast I go and never misses a stroke. As for switches, no need for that, this goes to sleep when it is left unattended and one touch of the wheel on the mouse wakes it up, so the batteries (provided) do not drain when off.I have to get used to the numeric keyboard section being closer to the standard keys but that is only due to the keyboard being smaller and very neat so it doesn't worry me.
