The three player game is much easier to use than the four. I would recommend getting the square chessboard for four player. So far we played one three player game which one has to be careful the 3rd player checkmate both the other players and took the game! Keep the board flat it creases instantly. We used a 16inch round cake pan to play on made it easier for turning the board, the board fit on it perfectly.
