I was happy with them because I knew I could make them perfect for my specific application. These are a great deal if you know what to do with them. The negative reviews could absolutely be true and are well founded. These things could fall off, or not fit quite right etc, but with a little work on your part, they will be perfect. Pro-tip: 1. To get these to fit perfectly, use a bit of indirect heat on them to get them a little bit soft and pliable, and then slip them on (Make sure they aren't too hot where you'd burn your shade or anything). Once you get it on, clamp it in place, hold it in place or do something to keep it in place until the plastic cools. This will make a perfect fit that won't come off. Don't heat it up too much or else you'll make the plastic brittle and it will break if you ever try to take it off. Just enough to soften it up so you can clamp it in place. 2. Once you're done getting it in place, put a little plastic protectant, like Armor All or something on it and you'll find the sun side doesn't get all brittle and break. Should last a nice long while. Cheap stuff like this can usually be made to do what you need it to do with a little ingenuity. Hopefully you found this helpful!
Review: Works as expected - These slid onto the bottom of my roller pull shades with no problem. I like that they're clear so it doesn't take away from the decor. They haven't slipped off, which I don't see how that could happen. They do tend to glide off center from repeated use but, because they are clear, I don't feel the need to re-center them. Perfect size, not too big or too small.

I broke 2 just trying to get them on. The third I warmed up with a hair dryer to get on and as soon as it cooled it completely snapped off. What a complete waste of money. These don't fit and are impossible to put on.
