I have it outside on my lamp post for the holidays, and from a distance really looks like a real flame. Only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I wish there was a switch on the base to control the effect. You need to turn it off and back on to toggle between the modes. If you are up close you can really notice the individual LED's, so I am going to frost the glass on our lamp post.
