It gives accurate readings of the air temperature and humidity %. It also, of course, controls the fan speed with 10 program or manually selected speeds. On the lower speeds, the fan virtually cannot be heard which is exactly what I wanted. The higher speeds are noticably louder for obvious reasons but it really moves some air which is the whole purpose of this fan. It has been running continuously for a month now and works flawlessly. Overall, excellent choice for a variable speed duct fan with all the bells and whistles and the best part is, it's a fraction of the cost of similar type fans.
