Fearing it would end up gathering dust like a sandwich maker I thought this might be a cheaper, more handy product. You lay the item in your normal frying pan and make the omelette on top. The handles allow you to fold it to cook the other side.The end result was tasty and the frying pan stayed clean, it also states that you can fry eggs without the use of oil. Highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A real omelette-maker *by K***L on 13 May 2016* I compare this with the Microwave tray which I used earlier. The microwave thing produces two omelette pieces which doesn't really fuse together so the filling leaks out. The omelit produces one piece which fuses together when you fold it. The thing really looks like an omelette, and when you taste it the question pops out, Why are microwaved thing so tasteless? The omelits omelette really tastes like an omelette! that was the thing I was missing when I used the microwave thing.OK the omelit leaks a bit out into the pan but that is easy to clean up with some hot water which you anyway do with you pan, so no problem. The omelit itself doesn't really get dirty, if you need to you can just wash any debris of with a little spray of water ### ⭐ Avoid. Learn how to do it without. *by B***L on 28 February 2021* So I like to fold my omelettes so its a semi-circle and seals together so the fillings are warmed further by the heat trapped.Don’t always get it right. Thought this product would help. And it does to an extent.It is basically a circle sheet of black which does not burn or lose its form under head.But does not work every time.Just like if you were doing it without this product, sometimes it will work and sometimes not. But is messier than doing it without.Personally, I stopped using it after perhaps 10 uses and is just in a kitchen drawer now.I suggest getting a non-stick frying pan, silicone type spatula utensil so it doesn’t scratch the pan and lose the non-stick effect and lightly spray the pan with sunflower oil and heat gently before adding the omelette mix.Persistence and repetition will lead to you getting better.
